Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP)

UZH maintains some 460 exchange agreements in 50 subjects with over 200 partner universities throughout Europe. Students at these partner universities can study one or two semesters at UZH within the framework of the Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP), formerly Erasmus: an exchange through SEMP must be a minimum of 2, and a maximum of 12 months.

Beside exchange opportunities within subject-specific exchange agreements there is the option to study at UZH via a non-subject-specific agreement. This option is available to students provided that an exchange agreement in their subject does not exist.

Background information on the SEMP-Program and why Switzerland no longer participates in Erasmus can be found here.

Language of Instruction

Scholarships

Your application for an exchange in the frame of the Swiss-European Mobility Programme is also an application for a grant financed by the Swiss Confederation. However, your acceptance as an exchange student at UZH is no guarantee that you will receive such a grant.
